Writen Down

You draw blood on this pen tip,
As I slowly write my confession,
Too this ever elongating page,
My fingers ache from the strain,
That my mind has brought to,
The weight of this pen,
The chemicals in my brain,
Brining me near the stakes,
Of what this page could mean,
No this won't be in a book,
This won't be a dog eared page,
This will be sealed within,
The folds of your ever thundering heart,
Eternity is not enough for me,
So my soul slides with the blood and ink,
That is committed to this page,
So I finish with my hopes and fears,
Screaming inside my ears,
But this has been done,
From the moment I saw,
Your innocent eyes,
I play for keeps,
With this page I hope,
Wins myself first place in your mind.
